Lesley Groff’s Epstein Denials
In a statement sent to TheWrap, Lesley’s attorney Michael Bachner denied in 2019 that she had engaged in any misconduct when she worked for Epstein.
“As an executive assistant to Epstein, Lesley worked as part of a professional staff that included in-house attorneys, accountants, an office manager and other office staff,” he said.
But she must know something after working with Epstein for almost 20 years. There must be reasons holding her back.
Lesley’s job included making appointments as directed by him, taking his messages, and setting up high-level meetings with CEOs, business executives, scientists, politicians and celebrities. But she stated in 2019 she was shocked by the allegations against Epstein.
Her representative said she had been “besmirched” by the claims and knew nothing of the sex trafficking operation.
Lesley had worked in a building away from Epstein’s New York townhouse, it was claimed.
But she was mentioned in multiple documents from a civil case involving a Jane Doe & alleged coconspirator Sarah Kellen. Lesley’s name was also referenced in documents tendered to the court in Jane Doe 1001 v Epstein Estate.
According to The Wrap: ”The lawsuit...also named Lesley Groff...and “another woman with an accent” as some of Epstein’s associates who called the young woman to “arrange for her to return to the New York mansion.”
Epstein, the money man, ran the sex trafficking like it was a McDonald's business. Survivor Virginia Roberts Guiffre has described his operation as a “pyramid scheme.”
Epstein relied on a constant stream of new girls and women to enable his perversions and his bribery operation.
A police report from 2007 claims Lesley engaged in some unusual behaviour when the FBI knocked on the door of her sprawling Connecticut home.
A statement of fact tendered to the court in 2008, alleged Lesley left the room and called Epstein while the FBI was at her house wanting to speak to her. She told the officers she needed to go upstairs to check on her sleeping child.
But she instead called Epstein and he told her not to speak with the officers. He reprimanded Lesley for letting the FBI into her house.
According to the FBI, this conversation interfered with their investigation because it tipped-off one of her alleged coconspirators, Nadia Marcenko.
